After completing a degree in Computer Studies I had no idea which direction I wanted to take my career and Doris seemed like an ideal solution to provide me with the necessary experience to be able to make a wiser decision.
My first assignment was at a Leading Retail Bank working in Test Services, working as ‘Test Support’. In this role, I supported the customer's Test Practice Office (TPO) by providing regular reports regarding Personnel and IT projects as they move through the Test Service phase, and developing new management information used to assess and continually improve the TPO service.
Whilst in this role, I implemented a Key Metrics dashboard for IT which is now in use by senior management in their reporting to Bank Regulators and used to make decisions at the highest level.
I also designed and developed a Lessons Learnt Database which is now used by the entire Project Management community to record Lessons Learnt to improve service delivery.
I have now begun working in my ideal role as a Solutions Developer using Blue Prism software to automate Business Processes. Although I am faced with a steep learning curve, I am thoroughly enjoying the role so far and hope this will provide me with a long term career path.
Working for Doris has allowed me to obtain key business and IT skills and to gain experience in an area which otherwise would not have been available to me. With their support and the fantastic guidance from my customer assignment manager, I am confident I will continue to develop.
