I started with Doris in March of 2015 and I didn’t want a particularly technical role because my main interest is in Business so Chris helped me understand that Doris operate in both areas and my first assignment has been working within IT resourcing at a High Street Retail Bank. In my time on this assignment I have gained a large amount of knowledge through hands-on experience and mentoring.
The role is a mixture of recruitment and people management in a fast paced and challenging environment. A typical day can be a mixture of stakeholder management, agency liaison, meetings and process improvements; meaning the workload is varied and ever-changing. Doris mentors are supportive and knowledgeable and have been crucial to my development as well as my progress in the role. I’ve learnt that if you are open about your aspirations, the Doris team will work hard to find a good work fit for you.
When I am not at work I am usually reading, shopping, decorating my house or spoiling my two cats Lily and Barclay.
