My name is Jemma and I worked in the Service Request Team, supporting the IT Service Desk.
I originally joined Doris as part of an Apprenticeship programme to continue my education after leaving high school. After I gained my qualification I became a Doris IT Trainee; since joining Doris I have worked in a back office team working on a telephony server and a 1st line support team assisting users with their laptop and virtual desktop accounts. I have been trained in both back office environment policies and daily workings, as well as communication, social, and technical skills and good practice.
I have been fortunate enough to have the experience and support of several of the Doris mentors – Pauline Woods, Sarah Moore, and Lisa Tappin, who have all helped me develop myself in different areas. With the aid and support of my mentors I was able to complete my apprenticeship whilst developing myself as an individual and also in my job role.
Outside of work my hobbies include conducting the workplace choir (The Co-operettes), and attending conventions in costume.
