Jamie

I joined Doris IT in February 2018 after working for Asda head office as a promotions analyst. I wanted to make the breakthrough into IT, and after being recommended Doris by a couple of friends who already worked here, I thought it would be a great place to start.

Since joining Doris I have learnt so much about Business and IT, and have developed my personal skills to help me in my role. The unique thing about Doris is the level of training that is available, both on the job and off-site. The amount of experience from other Dorisers is invaluable, and it’s refreshing to be able to learn from others and share your own knowledge in various forums, such as the various Community of Practices.

I am currently working as a Business Analyst at the Co-op Group. I am in the Retail IT department but work across different areas of the business. My role is to gather and elicit requirements, making them easy to understand and well defined, so that the project has clear guidance on what is needed to be achieved. I work on 4 projects that vary in size. I am also one of the Doris BA Community of Practice organizers, which has enabled me to help other Dorisers learn BA skills and tools. This is a rewarding part of my role.
