I began my IT career in 2004, working as a Test analyst for Lloyds TSB. After spending a few years as a Test Analyst and complaining all day about bad requirements, I was given the chance to have a go at writing some myself! I transitioned to a Business Analysis role and the world of requirements and specs in 2008, and have never looked back.
Later that year I decided to travel the world looking for IT opportunities. From 2008 until April 2016, I have been working for large corporate clients across Australia and New Zealand, working primarily as a BA but also as Client Manager and in a mentor capacity.
In 2011, I joined an Australian IT consultancy, similar to Doris, which allowed me to work with a number of different clients across a range of sectors including banking, mining, education, government and logistics. I also managed a number of clients and worked across various sites with BA’s to uplift existing documentation, helping them to understand the value of great requirements, and how to create technical and functional specifications. In doing so I created a document repository of templates where all things ‘BA’ could be found.
Along the way, I have obtained a degree in Business Information Systems from LJMU, the International Diploma of Business Analysis in association with the British Computing Society and the ISTQB certification in Software Testing.
My hobbies include reading, yoga and spending time with my husband Matt and our 2 children Finn and Ivy.
