Doris wins Employer Apprentice Award
November 27, 2013
On 20th November 2013, the Doris Directors were invited to The House of Commons to attend the Annual Apprenticeship Awards, introduced by Graham Birtwistle, MP, the only current MP to have completed a full Apprenticeship and an avid supporter of the programme. The awards were presented by Chris Evans, Radio 2 presenter and Louis Smith, Olympic gymnast and 2012 Strictly Come Dancing Champion!
Much to our surprise and joy Doris was awarded the Employer Award for its recent work having recruited ten IT apprentices who are now all on assignment at The Co-operative Group in Manchester. On completion of the programme they will transfer to The Co-operative as full time employees. Matthew Greaves, Head of IT Transformation for The Co-operative called the partnership a win:win:win.
Next year our aim is to have one of our fantastic Doris Apprentices winning an award and we will happily sit in the audience and watch with pride.
